Food Waste in Compost Bins:

Are you concerned about the impact of putting food waste in your compost bin?

  • Nasty smells

  • Waste stuck in the bottom of bins

  • Maggots and other pests

As you are aware, Cherwell District Council has recently introduced food waste composting in your area.

With food waste now placed in your compost bin, you may find that it needs regular cleaning, in addition to or instead of your refuse bin.

We are now offering a special deal to our Cherwell customers. If you pay for 12 cleans of your compost bin (brown bin) for £36, you will receive a roll of 52 kitchen caddy lining bags for free. We have ensured that these are manufactured to the Council approved standard of EN 13432 and can be put in your compost bin - Never put plastic bags in your compost bin as the Council may refuse to empty it.

If you need more bags, simply contact us on 01280 704225. The price of a roll of 52 bags will be one clean (i.e. £3 if you have paid for 12 cleans) which will be taken from your account. Alternatively, rolls of 13 bags can be purchased for £1, either on the day of cleaning, or by prior arrangement.

If you would like to arrange for your compost bin to be cleaned on a monthly basis, please call us on 01280 704225.
